Video: Le Tour de France for Newbies

Although the Tour De France is the most popular cycling race in the world, most people in USA don't know much about it other than LiveStrong and Doping. Even many casual cyclists don't follow the tour. Starting right around the time of our Country's Birthday it is a great time to pick up the race and follow through the weeks of July. The race goes from July 2nd to July 24th.

My buddy Zac got me onto watching the tour years ago and this is a great video showing some history, the different races within the races, and the role the players within each team play.

I hope to keep up this year with the tour on the blog, posting some of my favorite video highlights. Even though I am not a racer myself I can appreciate the hard work to get to this level of cycling.
