I am excited to begin Featured Items from our store. These are items that merit their own blog post and items I am especially excited about.
This 1985 Tommaso 55cm Columbus SL/SP Road Frame really jumped at me when I saw it for sale. For a 30 year old frame the paint is in really fine shape! I feel like everyone needs a classic Italian Columbus Steel frame in their bike stable and this one should fit perfectly for the right person.
Tommaso was created as in house brand for 10 Speed Direct and were hand built in Italy and imported into US to be painted in the States due to the feeling that Italian paint was not up to par in that period. This Tommaso sports the original Blue to White Fade paint job and those beautiful lugs! It was built with a mix of Columbus SL & SP tubing with Campagnolo front and rear dropouts. One of my favorite features is the "t" carved into the Cinelli bottom bracket as well as into the fork crown.
As most used items in our store this one has it's share of signs of wear and tear with maybe not the most attention to detail in the touch up paint from the previous owner, but the right owner will appreciate this frame and build it to be ridden, not as an art piece.
